And just like that, another year draws to a close. Every year seems to go by faster and faster. I hope you all had some fantastic two wheeled adventures and used your limited time on this Earth wisely. Apart from a little health issue, I’ve had a great year both on and off the bike. Every day above the dirt is a gift!
I’ve been fortunate enough this year to cycle with some rad people and in some rad places. The year kicked off with a trip across to Adelaide and the (not the) Tour down Under. It was my first time in South Australia and spectating the NRS racing really brought home how strong some of these guys and gals are.
My travels also took me to Brisbane to ride with my longest friend Carl (pictured above), and then to Melbourne for some classic Beach Road hammer fests.
Of course, most of my riding was on Tasmanian country roads. Although the roads down here in Tassie are far from perfect (most are slow and rough) I am blessed with some beautiful scenery and quiet stretches. I can head out for a 100km ride and barely see a set of traffic lights. It is something I know I should treasure far more than I do.
To finish off, a massive thanks each and every one of you who have taken the time to visit my corner of the internet, subscribe to the site, hit like, or comment on one of my posts. I appreciate you all and I hope you got a little enjoyment out of reading at least some of the posts I tap out each month. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Bring on 2023!
