It’s finished! I’ve been riding the Quick Pro ER:One for a few weeks now while making small adjustments to my position and I think it’s finally dialled in. First impressions of the ride have been stellar. Having put in the wrench time myself I am biased of course, but this bike is an absolute winner!
I’m a small guy so the medium frame worked perfectly for me. I have a single 10mm spacer under the 38cm/100mm integrated bars. Speaking of the bars, running the internal hydraulic cabling was the hardest part of the build. Cable guides are included, but it’s a tight one. Apart from that, building the bike with the CYBREI carbon crankset, Shimano 12-speed Di2, Elite wheels, and a bunch of other Chinese sourced parts was a breeze. The build quality of the frameset is insane.
My only “complaint” is that the downtube bottle cage mounts are quite high. I got around this by using an adjustable mount adaptor from AliExpress which lowers the cage about an inch.
The colour I opted for is the Team Blue. It looked sexy on the website, but HOT DAMN does it look even better in the flesh, glistening in the morning sunshine.
I’m no racer by any stretch of the imagination, but the ER:One seems to want you to attack every climb, bomb every descent, and keep it pinned on every road in between. It’s aggressive geometry is not for everyone but it suits me fine and so far I love it.
If you’re after a relaxed endurance style road bike for a lazy hundred miler with a pub lunch half way, this probably isn’t the bike for you. But if you want something that will demand you give it everything you’ve got and reward you with a thrilling ride, you really can’t go wrong with the ER:One.
It may be a brand that not many other riders recognise (yet, this will change) so all your mates on the chop ride will ask you what you’re riding, but you’ll be too far up the road to hear them. Every rider at the café will admire your new Chinese beauty, and riding this bike you’ll get there first so they’ll have plenty of time to drool over your sweet whip while you sip your double espresso.
As the NERO boys would say, it holds it’s speed!
