Today, the acquisition of FulGaz by the Ironman Triathlon Group has been officially announced! This has been a long time in the making and the deal was sealed a little while ago, but all details have been under embargo until now.
It’s been a big process for sure, but one that will be an absolute positive for FulGaz customers. It’ll also be a huge boost to continued progression of the indoor training space. There are going to be some big developments not just for FulGaz, but also from Ironman, who will be introducing their own training app based on FulGaz technologies. This new Ironman app will focus on preparing triathletes to better train, recon and ride full Ironman courses virtually.

Mike Clucas (FulGaz founder) and I enjoy a 100km ride in Tasmania.

The core team are still at the helm of FulGaz, but we’ll have more resources to do an even better job! We now have the backing of the world’s largest outdoor mass-participation sports company – and all the resources that come with that, not just additional funding but also the know-how and expertise that 30 years in the triathlon arena encompasses. We’ve already been able to upgrade all the FulGaz servers and bring in some industry expertise. The future is bright!

Clearly all FulGaz employees need to show their commitment by completing an Ironman event within the next 12 months. No pressure.

The though HAD crossed my mind more than once! It’s just, you know, the running and swimming bits that I’m not a huge fan of… 🤪
