Lining up at the start line for the UCI World Series Gravelista race in Beechworth, I was as ready as I could be. Nervous? Yes. Excited? Yes! About to try and punch well above my weight? Absolutely. But just how hard could gravel racing be? As it turns out, the answer is… very freakin’ hard!
Strava Premium: Do you subscribe?
Although I was not an “early-adopter” of Strava, I’ve been an annual Premium subscriber for a number of years, mostly letting it roll over each year without a second thought. The price of Premium went up again this year. My subscription renewed at their increased price of $99/year (up from $82). That’s not exactly a piggy bank breaking amount of money compared to some of the stuff we spend on cycling related purchases, but exactly what additional featured am I actually paying for? What does that hundred dollar bill get me?
