One million miles. Or in metric terms, one million nine thousand three hundred and forty four kilometres. Sound like a lot? Well that’s because it is! And this chap is going to be the first ever person in the UK to cycle 1,000,000 miles in a lifetime …

What an absolute legend! What does it take to achieve this? Well, let me break it down for you.
Say I was starting from scratch and can keep cycling for the next 50 years. In order to hit one million miles I’d have to average 20,000 miles each and every one of those years. That’s roughly 385 miles per week (or over 600km per week). To put it another way, if you started cycling at 12 and hung up your cleats at 92 (so a cycling life of 80 years) you’d still need to clock up 12,000 miles annually.
Hats off to the guy, that’s an achievement. #keepcycling
Fantastic achievement and he’s so humble about it too.
I did happen to notice that he never married 😉😂

absolutely awesome!!!!. agreed thats truly a legend! Oh my how I would love to see that many different miles. Leal Wilcox rides 25,000 miles a year every year and had logged over 100,000 miles at age 20 and she is still kicking but pedaling.she is 32 now. thanks for sharing this my friend.
